Frank Sponberg 1912-2000 Rugby League

Frank played for Lakemba Juniors, and lived in Lakemba, Wiley Park and Punchbowl. Before the Canterbury club was established he played for Western Suburbs and was chosen to play for NSW in 1933-34. Frank played for Canterbury in its inaugural season in 1935, and went on to play 128 matches for them. He was Canterbury's first representative player. Named a member of the Bulldogs Ring of Champions.
